Haskovo Mineral Baths

 Mineralni Bani Municipality is 18 km from the regional town of Haskovo and 11 km from the international road E-80, connecting Western and Central Europe with the Middle East and Asia.

The mineral water in the village of Mineralni Bani is hyperthermal, with a unique chemical composition. It comes from 14 springs with a flow rate of 1500 liters / minute and is characterized as calcium, fluorine and sodium sulfate, which ranks it among the most famous healing springs in the country and in Europe.

 

The area has been known as a balneological center since the time of the Romans, who appreciated the beneficial effects of hot springs in the treatment of various rheumatic, gynecological, musculoskeletal diseases, as well as peripheral vascular conditions and Raynaud's and Burger's diseases. There are more than 60 dams in the resort, which are used for irrigation, and the river Banska passes through the center of the municipality.

 

Thanks to the mild climate, the presence of mineral springs, flooded rivers and excellent conditions for agriculture and animal husbandry, the area within the boundaries of today's municipality Mineralni Bani has been inhabited since ancient times. Today there are 52 significant cultural and historical monuments from different eras, some of which are located in forest areas, which can be reached by mysterious forest trails.
