Danube Park Silistra

Danube Park Silistra - The Danube Park in the town of Silistra is the first public park in the country. It is a wonderful place to relax with a wonderful view of the Danube River and many places for young children to play. In it you can see some tree species that are unique in their kind and are protected.

The Danube Park was founded in 1895. It was originally used as a vegetable garden. June 29, 2015 marked 145 years since the establishment of the beautiful Danube Park in Silistra. And in December 2015, the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works opened the renovated park under the project "Green and accessible urban environment - Silistra", funded by the Operational Program "Regional Development" 2007-2013. The project is worth a total of BGN 5.3 million. The aim of the reconstruction of the park is to increase the accessibility and safety of the environment and to improve the overall aesthetic appearance of the city.
