Monument "St. Mother of God ”- In the town of Haskovo is the tallest statue of the Virgin Mary with the baby in the world. The symbol was not chosen at random. The Mother of God has always been considered the patron saint of the town of Haskovo. The monument rises on Yamacha Hill within the city limits and has a certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records. The unique statue is 14 meters high and lies on a 17-meter pedestal. Its total height is 32.8 m, and a chapel was built at its base. The whole structure weighs 80 tons. The religious complex was officially opened with a solemn water dedication on September 8, 2003, and in 2005 it was entered in the Guinness Book of World Records. Since 2009, the monument is part of the 100 national tourist sites. In 2010, a bell tower was built next to the statue of the Mother of God. With its almost 30 m height, it is one of the highest on the Balkan Peninsula. On top of it are placed 8 bells of different sizes. The bell tower is accessible to tourists, and from its highest point reveals a beautiful view of the city.
