The Regional History Museum in Haskovo is located on Svoboda Square in the central part of the city. The beginning of the museum work in the city was set in 1927 with the founding of an archeological committee. The Haskovo Museum preserves over 120,000 movable cultural values located in 8 renovated and spacious halls and a lapidarium in the courtyard of the museum.
